Delete your Saathi account or data

Applies to the Saathi app for Android and iOS

Delete it in the app (fastest)

1. Open Saathi and go to the Profile tab.
2. Tap Delete account.
3. Enter your password to confirm. Your account is deleted immediately.

Can't access the app?

Email support@saathitravel.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my Saathi account". We'll confirm it's you and delete the account within 7 days.

Delete some data but keep your account

You can remove individual information yourself in the app at any time:

• Messages you sent: long-press a message in a chat → Delete.
• Trip photos: open the trip's Photos → your photo → Remove.
• Places you've visited: Profile → Travel passport → tap × next to a place.
• Emergency contacts: Profile → Emergency contacts → tap a contact → Remove contact.
• Workation plans, food trails, stay-share posts and meet-ups you created: open them → Remove / Delete.
• Profile details and photo: Profile → the pencil (Edit profile).
• Live location: stop sharing any time; it's also deleted automatically when the share expires.

For anything else — for example your usage history or a specific record — email support@saathitravel.com from your account's email address and tell us what you'd like deleted. We'll confirm it's you and respond within 7 days, deleting the data unless we must keep it for safety or legal reasons (and we'll tell you if so).

What gets deleted when you delete your account

• Deleted immediately: your email, phone number, password, profile details and photo, interests, travel preferences and history, emergency contacts, workation plans, notifications, live location, push tokens and two-step-verification data. You're removed from upcoming trips and any active check-in is cancelled.
• Kept but anonymised: group chat messages, reviews and shared expense records you were part of, shown as "Deleted traveler" so other members' chats and balances stay correct.
• Kept for safety and legal reasons: reports, blocks, safety events and check-in times (without location or notes), and security logs — no longer linked to your name or contact details.
• Backups containing deleted data are overwritten within 7 days.
